Karen Nyrop, DVM MS, Canada

Dr Nyrop is an equine veterinarian in Calgary, Alberta. Prior to moving to Calgary, she practiced in Scottsdale Az for many years. She works in a general equine practice with much of her time spent working on English Sport Horses. Dr Nyrop has served on the USEA Board of Governors, Events Committee, and still serves on the Equine Welfare and Research Committee. She is currently on the Veterinary Committee for the USEF and the Educational Programs Committee for the American Association of Equine Practitioners.  Dr Nyrop has been an FEI Veterinarian since 1987 and has worked at numerous FEI Three Day Events, Dressage and Jumper shows in the US and Canada during this time. Karen has competed in Eventing since before 1986- always on her favourite type of horse-a bay TB gelding with a little white for contrast!
