Janis M. Linnan, California

Janis has extensive officiating and managerial experience in the International Disciplines of Dressage and Eventing and has worked throughout the United States since earning her national credentials.  She currently officiates as an USEF “R” Eventing and Dressage Technical Delegate, an USEF “R” Eventing Judge, and as an FEI Chief Steward in Dressage and Eventing.

She helped organize the Inaugural Three Day Event and the first USET Dressage Screening Trials that were held in Virginia and was a founding member of the Santa Fe Hunt and Pio Pico Horse Trials in San Diego County, California. Janis served as President of the Virginia Dressage Association and was a member of the Board of Directors for ten years representing VADA at national meetings and functions with the United States Dressage Federation. And she became the Executive Director of the Virginia Gold Cup Steeplechase while employed as the general manager of Great Meadow Field Events Center in the Plains, Virginia.

Janis currently divides her time between Idaho and California with her husband, Patrick, and Ida, their mini Schnauzer.  She is currently serving on the Board of Directors for Rainbow Ranch Equine Therapeutic Riding Center in Clovis, California helping to develop a para equestrian Training Center and is also working as a consultant for Pleasant View Enterprises in Rathdrum, Idaho helping to design and market a $150M equestrian theme park that will include an extensive competition and racing complex.  She has recently been appointed to the position of Para Equestrian Discipline Manager for the 2010 World Equestrian Games that will be held in Lexington, Kentucky.
